Greeting Cards that grow flowers?  Yes!  La Bella Baskets is launching a new product line of plantable greeting cards that will be arriving soon in my La Bella Baskets gift store. What is a plantable greeting card?  A plantable greeting card is a specially crafted card. embedded with an array of wildflower seeds. that can be planted in the ground, watered and flowers will begin to sprout up in a few days. Planting instructions are printed on the back of every card along with the seed mixture. The paper will recycle naturally into the soil as the seedlings grow.



Plantable greeting cards are eco-friendly cards, created from 100% recycled  ingredients ( shredded junk mail combined with post consumer pulp) to create a distinctive paper that is tree-free and artistically crafted, one sheet at a time, using no chemicals, dyes or additives. Plantable Greeting Cards feature only the highest quality mixture of non-invasive wildflower seeds and certain varieties of vegetables and herbs that are tested for purity and meet the highest standards of the United States Department of Agriculture. Plantable cards can also be planted indoors to begin the germination of the plants in colder climates and transplanted to an outside location during warm months. Moisten the card and place it in a container with a circumference larger than seven inches and a  minimum of 1/4" deep of fine soil.  Allow for partial to full sun exposure and generously water daily to maintain moist soil. For dry climates, you may need to water the plantable cards up to three times per day until the plants germinate.
